Description:

Identify real-world problems and design, create, and market new products through mock-ups! Bring your ideas to life!

What You Will Learn:

Participants will identify real-world issues and work through an entire design process, starting with the potential new solution, into the creation of the mock-ups and prototypes, and on to marketing new products to a broad audience.

Learn and develop a host of skills associated with turning your ideas into reality.

Observe, brainstorm, design, and research! We'll focus on concept visualization and development by introducing CAD and advanced 3D printing technologies.

Students will work individually and in teams to translate their own original ideas into realizable solutions that respond to contemporary problems large and small.

Students who have completed this program have gone on to apply to the Product Design and Innovation program offered jointly by Rensselaer's Schools of Engineering, Architecture, and Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
