Supercritical CO2 Power Cycle Symposium
April 29-30, 2009.

Fundamentals of Design and Manufacturing of Polymer Matrix Composite Materials.
The course will be held in 2009 at Union College from July 29 –July 1, and at RPI on July 2. Invitation Only.
Ron Bucinell, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Union College, and Dan Walczyk, Associate Professor in Mechanical, Aerospace & Nuclear Engineering at RPI, will be leading the short course. The course will be accredited for Continuing Education Credits and will feature both classroom and hands-on training, as well as tours of two regional firms specializing in composite manufacturing. Teaching Multidisciplinary Teamwork Workshop - Professional Development. Two-Day Workshop.
Offered in the summer. Invitation Only.
This workshop is intended for faculty and instructors involved in mentoring and advising multidisciplinary project-based student teams. If you have ever struggled with how to teach these skills to your students, this workshop will teach participants how to build and coach effective teams and provide participants with tools, methods and activities for teaching leadership and professional development skills. Through interactive sessions and a philosophy that leadership skills can be learned, participants will receive an understanding of how to approach the areas of communications, team conflict, motivation and ethics. Participants will be given the tools to begin incorporating them into their curriculum immediately in support of ABET requirements.
