Combine classes with...FUN!
Learning at Rensselaer goes beyond the classroom. Students who participate in summer programs have an opportunity to enjoy a wide range of social and athletic events.
Rensselaer is within an hour’s drive of the majestic Adirondack, Berkshire, Catskill, and Green Mountains and it is a 45- minute drive to Lake George. Summer is a time to take advantage of the region’s great parks and scenic attractions.
Opportunities to enjoy the finest of art, music, and entertainment are all around you. You can see popular touring artists at the Times Union Arena, Palace Theater, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Proctor’s Theater, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, The Egg, the Berkshire Music Festival at Tanglewood and the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC).
There are plenty of shops and restaurants available in the heart of New York’s Capital Region. Take a trip to Saratoga Springs and spend a day with the horses at the Saratoga Race Course, or visit Albany’s Lark Street, or Troy’s River Street.
Entertainment opportunities abound. Countless concerts, clubs, plays, singing groups, professional organizations, and other organized events on campus are coordinated through the Rensselaer Union.
So…have fun while you study!
