College life at Rensselaer continues into the summer. Take expanded course offerings, including unique electives, accelerate your time to degree completion, catch up on classes you might have missed, and stay on track to graduate with study abroad, research, co-ops, and internships. We invite you to stay on campus to Catch Up, Keep Up, and Get Ahead.

Rensselaer is committed to providing opportunities in the summer for Rensselaer students to “Catch Up, Keep Up, and Get Ahead” in order to achieve their educational goals. Rensselaer students can enroll in summer courses, and may also take advantage of new opportunities for research and summer jobs on campus – jobs that are created to staff the new summer enrichment programs that serve as feeder programs for full-time undergraduate and student enrollment. There are also study abroad options such as faculty-led programs consisting of two- to six-week options. We are changing the campus culture so that more Rensselaer students and faculty are on campus in the summer. Everything you need to know about Summer@Rensselaer is available here!

Rensselaer offers three different summer sessions*. The dates of each session are listed below:

• Summer Session I - May 24 - August 13, 2010
• Summer Session II - May 24 - July 2, 2010
• Summer Session III - July 6 - August 13, 2010

  Special financial aid is available to full-time undergraduate Rensselaer students who qualify for need-based financial aid in the upcoming academic year.

• Faculty-Led Study Abroad
  

  There are two options in the summer. A Spring Semester Option where students participate in a spring semester course that ends with a two-week immersion experience in another country or a Summer Session Option where students partcipate in a four-to six-week summer course that takes places entirely in another country.

• International Scholars Program
  

  The International Scholars Program is a one-year accelerated master’s degree program which includes a ten-week summer semester abroad. It is designed for recent college graduates and young working professionals who are looking for that competitive edge to jump-start their career and to get the jobs best suited to their skills and credentials.

• Jobs For Rensselaer Students
  

  Pair a class with a job! Need extra cash in the summer? Are you staying on campus? Consider a summer job. Summer job openings are available from many offices around campus. Students are encouraged to contact the Career Development Center for additional information. Check out some summer job openings for current Rensselaer students.

• Summer Research Programs
  

  Summer undergraduate research programs include Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI) Partnership Program, Rensselaer Center for Open Software (RCOS), and Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (REU).
