Credit Courses and much more! Summer Session 2013

College life at Rensselaer continues into the summer. Take expanded course offerings, including unique electives, accelerate your time to degree completion, catch up on classes you might have missed, and stay on track to graduate with study abroad, research, co-ops, and internships. We invite you to stay on campus to Catch Up, Keep Up, and Get Ahead.

As a means to make summer tuition as affordable as possible, currently enrolled undergraduate Rensselaer students will have a significantly reduced per credit hour tuition charge than regular academic year tuition. Rensselaer matriculated undergraduate per credit hour rate for summer 2013 is $880.00 Visit the Summer 2013 Tuition and Financial Information link for the per credit hour rate for all other audiences.

Rensselaer is committed to providing opportunities so more college students and faculty are on campus in the summer. Take expanded course offerings, accelerate your time to degree completion, catch up on classes you might have missed, and stay on track to graduate with participation in study abroad, research, co-ops, and internship opportunities. College students can also take advantage of new opportunities for research and summer jobs on campus, as well as faculty-led study abroad options. Rensselaer offers three different summer sessions*. The dates of each session are listed below:

• Summer Session I - May 20 - August 9, 2013
• Summer Session II - May 20 - June 28, 2013
• Summer Session III - July 1 - August 9, 2013

• Summer Study Abroad Opportunities
  

  Study abroad has become an integral part of a well-rounded undergraduate experience. Faculty-led study abroad programs and short-term exchange opportunities are available during the summer and are managed by the Office of International Programs.

• International Scholars Program and Credit Courses at the Hartford Campus
  

  The International Scholars Program is a one-year accelerated master’s degree program that includes a ten-week summer semester abroad. It is designed for recent college graduates and young working professionals who are looking for that competitive edge to jump-start their career and to get the jobs best suited to their skills and credentials.

  Graduate Studies at the Hartford campus are available on a rolling admissions basis, meaning students may apply to begin their coursework in either the Fall, Spring or Summer term.

  Pair a class with a job! Summer job openings are available from many offices around campus. Students are encouraged to contact the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) for additional information. Check out some summer job openings for current Rensselaer students.

  Summer undergraduate research programs include Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI) Partnership Program, Rensselaer Center for Open Software (RCOS), and Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (REU).
